Eric is a man of many trades. He graduated from Universal Technical Institute in 2014. After living in Phoenix and El Paso, he moved back to Wichita and started a contracting business.
After a few years of working as a mechanic and contractor, Eric decided that welding was his next step. He attended Heartland Welding Academy in 2018. Welding fit two of his interests: working on cars and making money. After working several months as a substitute instructor, he was hired by HWA full time in 2020. In his free time Eric is working on something with a motor. He hopes to someday open his own auto fabrication shop.
Eric’s advice to future students is, “Welding is great skill to have because the opportunities are so broad, and there is always money to be made.”
